All aboard the Ghost Train of FORT. Halloween’s here, but don't worry, we’re keeping things cute with blow-painted monsters and Charlie Brown tunes!

Ask

What still scares you?

A sudden toaster pop? A house spider? A pigeon bursting out of a hedge? Ask everyone to confess the silly, harmless things that still make them jump.

Create

Glue, googly eyes, paint, paper, straws

Room for one more monster in your house?

Drop a pool of watery paint onto your paper. Hold a straw close by and blow in different directions to send wild splatters to every corner of the page.

Drizzle, drip and dash extra colours on top

Once dry, stick on googly eyes (one, two, six!) to reveal your unique monster, and adorn with horns and tentacles.

Just don’t forget to name them. (You don’t want to know...)

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by Vince Guaraldi Trio

The perfect backdrop for an evening of cosy crafting. Or worthy of making the main event, if you can track it down!

Reflect

Sharing what makes us jump opens up a wonderful kind of intimacy. When kids see grown-ups laugh off a sudden startle or a silly fear, it takes the sting out of it.

It shows them that feeling jumpy isn't a flaw to hide, but just a funny, human thing we all share.

Did you know, before pumpkins arrived here, kids carved lanterns out of rock-hard TURNIPS! Poor things. Whether you’re naming monsters, dressing up, or just keeping the big lights on – we hope your weekend is one to remember.

Don’t go anywhere, we’re kicking off November with a bang! Can’t wait? Follow FORT on Instagram for picky bits.

Psst! Share this with someone you used to go trick-or-treating with.
